What is The Braille Experience?

The Braille Experience room is open to youth of all ages and abilities who are interested in learning more about braille with a variety of creative, hands-on activities led by Teachers of the Visually Impaired. The Braille Experience is an alternative for students who are not competing in the Braille Challenge.

Who may participate?

• Students who are just starting to learn braille or working on pre-braille skills.

• Siblings of students who are participating in the competition.

• Parents of beginning braille students who would like to learn more about braille.

When will the activities occur?

The Braille Experience actives will occur from 9AM - 12:00 PM. Lunch will be provided from12:00-1:15, and Braille Experience students are invited to stay for lunch.
